POLICIES
What are our Educational Program Policies?
At Bikkurim Studios, we strive to create a respectful, nurturing, and professional learning environment for every student. To ensure consistency, fairness, and clarity in the delivery of our services, we ask all students and guardians to read and adhere to the following studio policies before signing up.

Enrollment: All students must complete a registration form prior to beginning lessons or classes. For minors, a parent or legal guardian must sign the enrollment agreement.
Placement: New students may be asked to participate in an assessment (audition or trial lesson) to determine appropriate level and instructional goals.
Ongoing Registration: Students are enrolled on a rolling basis throughout the year, subject to instructor availability.

Payment Structure: Tuition is billed per term, or annually depending on the plan selected at the time of enrollment.
Payment Methods: Accepted methods include cash, credit/debit card, direct transfer, or auto-pay via our secure online portal.
Due Dates: Payment is due by the 1st of each term. Late payments will incur a $15 late fee after the 5th of the fist month.
Missed Payments: Students with more than two consecutive missed payments may be suspended until the balance is settled.

Regular Attendance: Consistent attendance is critical to progress. Students are expected to attend all scheduled lessons and classes on time.
Cancellations by Student:
Private Lessons: 24-hour notice is required to be eligible for a make-up lesson.
Group Classes: Missed group classes cannot be rescheduled or refunded.
Make-Up Lessons:
Make-up sessions must be scheduled within 30 days of the original missed lesson and are subject to instructor availability.
Cancellations by Bikkurim Studios: Instructors may occasionally reschedule due to emergencies or events. In such cases, a make-up will be guaranteed.

The studio observes the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
A full calendar year is divided into four academic terms:
Fall Term (Sept–Nov)
Winter(Dec–Feb)
Spring Term (Mar–May)
Summer Term (June–Aug)
Each term consist of 13 weeks of education.
Lessons continue year-round unless otherwise stated. Holiday breaks will be communicated in advance.

Notice Required: A minimum of 30 days written notice is required to withdraw from any program.
Refunds: Tuition is non-refundable once the month or term has begun. Exceptions may be considered for medical reasons with documentation.
Instructor-Initiated Withdrawal: Bikkurim Studios reserves the right to discontinue lessons for students who do not comply with studio policies, exhibit repeated behavioral issues, or fail to meet financial obligations.

Punctuality: Students must arrive on time and be prepared with appropriate materials or attire.
Preparedness: Students are expected to practice regularly and complete any assigned work.
Respect: All students and guardians must treat instructors, staff, and peers with respect and professionalism. Disruptive or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.
Dress Code: Appropriate attire must be worn for all dance classes (e.g., leotards, tights, ballet shoes) and music lessons (e.g., modest, comfortable clothing). Specific requirements will be provided upon enrollment.

Parents are encouraged to support at-home practice and maintain communication with instructors.
Parents of young children may observe lessons at the instructor’s discretion, but must avoid interrupting sessions.
All minors must be picked up promptly at the end of their lessons or classes.

Students who are ill (fever, flu symptoms, contagious infections) should not attend lessons or classes.
Instructors reserve the right to send a student home if they appear unwell.
All students must follow studio safety protocols, including the use of proper equipment and footwear.

Bikkurim Studios may use technology such as video recording, audio playback, and learning apps during lessons.
Photos or videos may occasionally be taken for educational or promotional purposes. A media release form might be provided during enrollment.
Students are not permitted to record lessons without prior instructor consent.

Instructors conduct periodic evaluations to track student progress and adjust lesson plans accordingly.
Students enrolled in RCM, RAD, Suzuki, or Vaganova-based programs may be guided toward exams or assessments, based on readiness.
Participation in recitals, workshops, and showcases is strongly encouraged to foster growth and performance skills.

Studio-wide announcements and updates are sent as newsletters via email and/or posted in the student portal. Please ensure your contact information is current.
Direct communication with instructors can be arranged via email, phone, or appointment. Messages will be returned within 48 hours.

By enrolling in any educational program at Bikkurim Studios, students and/or their guardians acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by the above policies. These policies are subject to change with notice and will be updated as needed to ensure the continued safety and success of our learning environment.
